KYROS is a band not afraid to take songwriting and musical experimentation to a whole new level by pushing the boundaries. Their fresh, new and exciting music has influences ranging from eighties pop, e.g. Depeche Mode and Kate Bush, to modern post-progressive and alternative rock music such as Muse and Porcupine Tree.

Formed in 2012 in London, England, KYROS (known as Synaesthesia 2012-2015) consists of Adam Warne on lead vocals and keyboards, Joey Frevola and Sam Higgins on guitar, Peter Episcopo on bass guitar, and Robin Johnson on drums. The five-piece came together when Adam needed to complete the band line-up during their transition from a solo studio project to a fully-fledged performing and writing group.

Despite only having existed for a few years, the group has already released a critically acclaimed debut album and a successful limited edition EP. The debut album featured artwork designed by Freyja Dean, the daughter of legendary album cover artist Roger Dean. Songs from these two releases have received airplay on various radio stations, including Team Rock Radio. On top of this, KYROS has performed at a number of impressive shows ranging from festivals in the UK, Germany, and USA to supporting high profile bands such as Marillion and Anathema. In 2015, the band performed sixteen shows across Europe supporting Spock’s Beard, all with hugely receptive crowds.

KYROS has also received positive reactions from the press. They were awarded the top spot in the ‘Tips for 2014’ and runner up in the ‘Tips for 2016’ awards from Prog Magazine, as well as a nomination for the ‘Limelight’ category with the Progressive Music Awards. Their debut album received critical acclaim from across the spectrum. The band has also attracted interviews and article write-ups from respected journalists such as Malcolm Dome and Rich Wilson. Both gave positive words regarding the debut album and their thoughts on the future direction of the band. Wilson described the album as being “an exceptional debut from a band who will only improve.”

In Autumn 2016, KYROS released their maxi-single ‘Cloudburst’ and their double album ‘Vox Humana’ through their independent label KMG, both to critical acclaim. These releases broke through the progressive and alternative scene with a huge buzz of hugely positive reviews all around. The band has since gone on to secure radio time across Europe and the US.

The band continues to push forward with the release of music videos, short films and other promotional material to aid in getting their name out there.
