We’re pleased to announce that Canadian band RED SAND has agreed to perform at RoSfest 2014. The band was formed in 2003 by guitarist Simon Caron, he and his fellow band mates have steadily released studio albums and performed live since then, earning themselves a good reputation in their native Canada in particular.
The current incarnation of Red Sand includes Simon Caron (guitars, keyboards), Pennsylia Caron (piano, keyboards), Mathieu Gosselin (bass), Danny Robertson (drums) and Steff (vocals). The band has six albums to their name as of 2013, of which “Cinema du Vieux Cartier” is the most recent. Red Sand tends to be compared to the likes of Marillion, Pendragon and Arena, all of them bands the core of our audience tends to know very well indeed, and we felt it was about time to introduce them to this fine Canadian band now in 2014.
Those among our audience with affection for traditional Neo Progressive Rock will have a concert to look forward to when Red Sand enters the stage as the second band on Sunday May 4th 2014. A quality band that have proven their quality as a live and studio entity over time, and a band that will be a pleasant surprise for those unaware of them prior to RoSfest 2014.
